"I MET A THIEF" A. S. Bukenya.

I Met a Thief On the beach, on the Coast, Under the idle, whispering coconut towers, Before the growling, foaming waves, I met a thief, who guessed I had An innocent heart for her to steal. She took my hand and led me under The intimate cashew boughs which shaded The downy grass and peeping weeds. She jumped and plucked the nuts for me to suck; She sang and laughed and pressed close I gazed: her hair was like the wool of a mountain sheep, Her eyes, a pair of brown - black beans floating in milk. Juicy and round as plantain shoots Her legs, arms and neck, And like wine - gourds her pillowy breasts; Her throat uttered fresh banana juice Matching her face - smooth and banana ripe I touched - but long before I even tasted My heart had flowed from me into her breast; And then she went – High and South – And left my carcase roasting in the fire she’d lit Austin Bukenya This excellent ooem employs a number of figurative language to create a powerful mental image in the mind of the audience or...

A MAN OF AWESOME POWER ESSAY "MISUSE OF POWER CAUSES REGRET #A SILENT SONG

Image
Points of Interpretation for this question: i. Tayib tries later to change the channel in vain. Contrast this with earlier on when he did it effortlessly thus regret. ii. Tayyib regreted because he thought he was going mad. No matter how much he tries, all he met was failure because his powers were gone like a dream. This shows his helpless state of regret. Contrast this with the delighted state of mind when he was doing acts of mercy. iii.Al Mahdi regrets but thus has no effect in rejuvenating his lost glory. The joy that he has was replaced by an awesome sadness that would haunt him to his death. Hanniya remarked that he was not in his normal moods. iv. Tayyib's depthless inner confidence was gone. Pleading became pointless and distress useless. Since he has misused his power by engaging sensually with a beautiful woman, he could not practice his secret power although he really longed to. Now you can use these guideliness to write an excellent essay. Thanks.

CRITICISM OF MARRIAGE. SATIRE IN "THE TRULY MARRIED WOMAN" N. ABIOSEH.

Image
CRITICISM OF MARRIAGE. 'A Silent Song' Nicol satarizes how Ajayi and Ayoo practice selective obedience to Christian principles. Ayo decides that it was not right for a mother of three to wear white during her wedding. This makes the reader wonder if children make parents impure and how mere symbolic colours are more important than actual true dedication to a christian way of life. To make it worse, Ayo turns down Ajayi's sexual advances claiming that he should wait until after the marriage; because it was not right. This is ubsurd because they have lived together for twelve years and been intimate.  Abioseh wonders why people get married for ubsurd reasons. The visit by the missionaries and Ayo's protest about the beating of their ten-year old boy for wetting his sleeping mat, made Ayo very  thoughtful. He had earlier on been surprised that Ayo had been attending women's meetings. Even though she had been quiet, he was proud of her for talking of mode...

BEST SAMPE ESSAY A.D.H (APPEARANCES CAN BE MISLEADING).

‘Appearances can be misleading’, write an essay to show the validity of this statement, drawing illustrations from Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House.   Many lives are punctuated with masks and deceptive displays of success and achievement, yet the reality is that sometimes, behind our most elegant smiles are skeletons and scars that are carefully hidden from the rest of the world. This is because subterfuge has been embraced by many individuals as a smoke screen to conceal the grim realities that life hands them. Initially, Krogstad appears to be a rancorous, unforgiving blackmailer of a Shylock who will do anything to get his rightful pound of flesh, but it is later evident that he is actually lenient and considerate. Nora borrows a loan of two hundred and fifty pounds from him to treat her ailing husband. He also realizes that she had forged her father’s signature. This pits the duo in a most excruciating duel. Helmer plans to dismiss Krogstad from his position at the ...
